Formats Explained

How ordering from Sunfly Karaoke works

Firstly, and most importantly: we offer our tracks in a variety of formats. The format choice will be selected once you add your tracks/albums and go to checkout. However, it is best to know which format you need before placing the order/searching the website as we cannot always change this for you.

Downloading Songs/ Albums
When you have made a purchase, you can download your tracks from the 'my downloads' area of your account. Simply click on the download button for your order, and the download will start. All tracks/albums purchased will be contained within one zip file.
For more information on how to unzip this folder please click here.
We offer tracks and albums to download onto your computer in three different formats.
- MP3+G tracks
- MP4 tracks
- MP3 audio tracks (as the name suggests this is the audio backing track only).

MP3+G Karaoke files
MP3+G stands for MP3+Graphics. Each MP3+G track consists of two files: one file is an MP3 file which plays the music. The second file is a .cdg file which plays the lyrics/graphics that you see on-screen. When both files are played together at the same time you have a karaoke track with lyrics synchronised to the music to indicate when the singer should sing.
All of our MP3+G tracks are 320kbps.
You will need Karaoke Software installed on your computer to play these files.
There are a small number of tracks that we are unable to offer for download due to download restrictions in place from the publishers. If the track you want happens to be unavailable please order this track on a CD+G disc. You will be able to convert this disc into MP3+G tracks on your computer using available software online.

MP4 Karaoke videos
These are high definition Karaoke video files and contain much higher quality graphics than our MP3+G Karaoke tracks, so when played on a large screen will show much clearer text.
Our MP4 files are 1280 x 720 pixels in size (720p HD).
MP4 tracks will play in any MP4 player (Windows Media Player, Quicktime and iTunes) so will not need Karaoke software to play.
Some Karaoke Software Programmes are also compatible with this format.

MP3 backing tracks
These are music backing tracks without any on-screen lyrics. They are all 320kbps. All of our songs are Karaoke tracks so will have backing vocals if the original version contains backing vocals.

Creating a Personalised Disc
We offer personalised discs where you choose all the tracks that will be placed on a disc and we create this especially for you. There is a minimum order of six tracks on a disc, and we can usually fit a maximum of 18 on the same disc (this depends on the track length of the songs chosen).
To order a personalised disc, add your chosen Karaoke tracks to your basket. In checkout choose the option Disc, and then your format when prompted.

There are two types of format you can choose from:
- CD+G Discs
- DVD Discs

CD+G DISC
This is the standard format for Karaoke Machines. Please select this format if you want to play your disc in your CDG Karaoke player machine.
If you are looking for audio only, i.e. for backing track purposes, a CDG disc will also play in your standard CD player.
CDG discs will not play on your computer, you will need to convert these files into MP3+G in order to see the full Karaoke track
Any CDG from our album range which is out of stock will be created at Sunfly HQ and sent out in a generic unsealed sleeve. In these cases, the artwork will not be the same as pictured on the website.

DVD DISC
Please select DVD format if you want to play your Karaoke tracks on any standard DVD player (please make sure your DVD player will play DVD-R discs). You cannot convert this type of disc or play with Karaoke software.
